The book I am reading is Eggs by Jerry Spinelli. In my recent reading of the book Primrose and Dave have definitely gotten much closer. They have been doing various activities together and hanging out non-stop. In the last few days of my reading they have gotten in a fight just as I suspected would happen. They are doing little to no speaking to each other which is very sad because they were best friends.
This situation where Primrose and David are in a fight is similar to the movie The Edge of Seventeen. It is similar because in both the book and film two best friends get in a fight and stop talking. In the book Eggs David and Primrose get i a fight over someone who is very close to them, their dads. In the movie Nadine and Krista also get in a fight over someone who is very close to them, Nadine's older brother. Both in the book and movie the two best friends get in a fight over their family issues which is bad because it possibly can ruin their friendship.
I was surprised when David and Primrose got in such a huge fight because they had been very close for a long time and had never gotten in such a big argument. I knew their friendship wasn't perfect but I would have never thought that they would completely stop talking to each other. It seems like they will make up from this fight and become friends again as they are talking a little again.

Text to Self ~ Keeper of the Lost Cities

     I just finished reading Keeper Of the Lost Cities , which is the first book of Shannon Messenger's series. The book series has eight books so far. I am currently reading the second book of the series. The book is about a 12 year old girl named Sophie. She has been able to read minds since she hit her head really hard when she was 5. For the protection of herself she keeps it a secret. When she is out and about she sees a boy, as a group of small kids walk by their thoughts give her a headache, forcing her to push her head to cease the pain. Looking up, she sees that the boy did the same thing. They leave the building and he tells her that she is a telepath (mind reading ability) and that she is an elf. Her whole life changed as she leaves her family to forget about her, and moves to the lost cities to attend Fox Fire, a school for the elves. Text to World: 100 Cupboards book 1-3

(Summary of book 1-3… totally 5-6 sentences.) The 100 Cupboards is a series about a boy named Henry, who has discovered 99 cupboards behind his bedroom wall. The series starts off with him releasing the evil witch Niamine, who thirsts for blood and the life of others. As book 1 moves on Henry discovers he is from a completely different world and that his parents are not actually his parents. He, in fact, comes from the cupboards himself. In the end of the book, Henry is told to stay away from the cupboards from his uncle (whom he is currently living with).
