The book I am reading is This Isn't What It Looks Like by Pseudonymous Bosch. It is about a girl who eats chocolate then time travels. She is trying to make it back to modern day and she is back in jester times times and she has to adjust and get back to her time. She meet a relative to help her get back and then she finds a monocle and it was able to give her double vision and she can see things farther and see through things. Cass also sees the King and in the wagon there is a chest and the chest fell and the people didn't notice and she used her monocle to see through the chest.
Cass at times remind me of Sherlock Homes because Cass is very observant and she doesn't miss a clue. She also reminds me of Sherlock Homes because she has to put together clues in order to get back to her time period. One scene in the book when she is still trying to adjust to a new time it reminds me of back to the future and he was trying to adjust the how different the future was.The difference between them is that in back to the future Marty Mcfly went to the future and Cass didn't she went back in medieval times. What both of these story's have in common is that both of these story's included there family Marty has to not encounter himself and his family in order to change time Cass went back in time and she has to solve a problem her family created in order to get back to her time period.
I have a few questions like how Cass is going to use her monocle for to figure out how to get back to her time period. I don't like how the witch just gave her the monocle and it gives her double vision and she can see farther and I feel like she cant really use it in the story for good use.I like how the author is giving Cass something to try and help her get closer to solving the mysterious.I think this book is starting to get more interesting and i will like to see what other things she will find to help her get back to here normal time
