The book that I've been reading so far “Divergent” by, Veronica Roth. It’s about this girl name Tris, who gets sorted into the Dauntless Faction of the world. But, in reality she is so much more she is a Divergent. The most dangerous faction in the society that they live in. Which in the end could possible could get her killed.
Divergent can relate to the real world in many different way. One example being that people are divided. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that people separate from each other. But, it’s only human that we do. In the book Divergent, anyone at the age of 16 are sorted into five different factions and initiated into them. I can relate that part in to the real world because, it happens in schools all over. Students have always broke apart from each other and separated into their own little groups. Moving on from the separation, Divergent can relate to the real world because, of the factions. For example, the faction that Beatrice was originally in was Abnegation. Which relates to the people in the real world who try to make you feel better. Another example would be Erudite. Erudite is supposed to relate to all of the intelligent people in the world and so on. So, it also goes for all of the other factions too. The last connection that I can make that will relate to the real world is the people presenting the factions. In the real world, people work in different groups to get everything done as a whole. Exactly, like the factions in Divergent; everyone works together to create a peaceful place to live in.
Finally, the whole book can relate to the real world in many different forms and ways. And that only depends on how you look on the book entirely. Since, everyone clearly has a different thought about the meaning of the book. But, some questions that I would completely take into consideration while I was reading was ‘Why did Beatrice’s brother choose Erudite?’ I was thinking this because, during ‘their time.’ Both Abnegation and Erudite were having a fight about the crops and food that was being shipped. What I thought happened was that he (Caleb) decided to choose Erudite because, he wanted to betray his family. But, in the end the whole book is supposed to relate to the real world and how people work together to accomplish the greater things in life.
